Police Discover Secret Indoor Cannabis Farm in Lagos, Arrest Polish Man and Nigerian Companion

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two men after uncovering a suspected indoor cannabis farm at a residential property in the Apapa area of the state.

The discovery was made on November 2 after police operatives received intelligence reports about the facility.

The command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Tuesday, explaining that officers acted on the information and searched the property.

During the operation, they found a “sophisticated indoor farming facility equipped for the cultivation, harvesting and processing of substances suspected to be cannabis”.

The two suspects arrested in connection with the discovery were identified as Thomas Razvickas, a 49-year-old Polish national, and James Chisome, a 36-year-old Nigerian.

Both men reportedly live at the property where the suspected cannabis farm was discovered.

Police said the suspects are currently in custody and have made confessional statements. They are also providing information to assist investigators with the ongoing probe.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, visited the property to inspect the facility and receive updates on the investigation.

Fatai called on residents to provide useful information that could help the police tackle criminal activities across the state.

He assured the public that the command would remain proactive and determined in its efforts to rid Lagos of crime.
