Marc Skinner has stepped down as Manchester United head coach by mutual agreement, just one month before the start of the new Women’s Super League season.
Skinner took charge in 2021 and guided the club to its first major women’s trophy after winning the FA Cup in 2024.
“Marc Skinner has departed his role as head coach of Manchester United Women by mutual agreement,” the club said in a statement on Monday.
“Marc leaves having made a significant contribution to the continued progress of Manchester United Women.”
Manchester United ended last season in fourth place, finishing 15 points behind Women’s Super League champions Manchester City.
The team will begin the new campaign away to London City Lionesses on September 4.
