Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has made an emotional plea for financial support as she battles an undisclosed illness. She revealed that she has been in the hospital for three weeks and is getting ready for three surgeries.
The actress posted the emotional video on her Instagram page on Thursday. Speaking from her hospital bed, she became emotional as she begged fans, friends and family not to leave her alone during this difficult time.
Explaining why she had not been seen in public recently, Nwosu said:
“My people, my fans and my family, I know that you’ve not seen me in circulation for some time. I’ve been hospitalized now for three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help, don’t let me die.”
The actress said she still believes she will recover but asked for support as she continues to deal with intense pain.
“I know that you people never forsake me and I know that God will always see me through, but I’m begging you, my friends and family, don’t let me die because I am going through a lot as in pain.”
She also asked anyone willing to help to reach out to her management team before ending her message with a prayer.
“My sickness will never be anybody’s portion. In Jesus’ name, thank you.”
While Nwosu did not reveal the illness she is fighting, she had earlier disclosed that she needs three surgeries. She also said the operations are expected to cost about ₦30 million.
