Popular Nigerian content creator DJ Chicken, whose real name is Ademola Abiodun, has spoken publicly for the first time after leaving Kirikiri Correctional Centre on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
During an Instagram live session, DJ Chicken opened up about his 12 days in detention. He said he could not sleep at any point while he was behind bars.
After regaining his freedom, the controversial entertainer changed his Instagram profile picture to one of Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu. He also shared Seyi’s photo on his Instagram story with the caption, “Hmm ddddy.”
The post quickly attracted attention online, with some social media users seeing it as a sign of personal reflection after his time in custody.
DJ Chicken was reportedly arrested around July 9. His lawyer, Rotimi Stephen, had publicly raised concerns over the detention.
Reports linked his arrest to a video in which he allegedly said he would unalive Seyi Tinubu if his father, Tinubu, wins the 2027 election. However, authorities have not released any official statement on the matter.
