Ekiti Driver Borrows N3.5m to Campaign for Tinubu’s Re-election in 2027

A mini-truck driver from Ado-Ekiti, Adeleye Adeniyi, says he has borrowed N3.5m to support the re-election campaigns of President Bola Tinubu, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and Ekiti State House of Assembly member Steve Fatoba.

Adeniyi, popularly known as “Online Loan Man for BAO”, made this known in an interview with journalists that circulated on Friday. He displayed a cardboard cheque from Wema Bank showing N2m for Tinubu, N1m for Bamidele and N500,000 for Fatoba.

He said he was ready to campaign for the three politicians because of their performance in office.

“I am supporting Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his second-term ambition. I have borrowed money. I want to use this money to support him because he’s doing a very great job,” he said.

Adeniyi also urged Nigerians to vote for Tinubu, saying he believed the President would deliver more benefits in a second term.

“I will appeal to my fellow Nigerians that we should demonstrate love by giving him, by voting him for his second term in office, because we are still going to see much more, more than what we have received,” he said.

He praised Bamidele and Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji for their contributions to healthcare, education, electricity and rural infrastructure.

Speaking about Bamidele, he said the senator’s support for projects had strengthened his belief in his leadership.

Adeniyi previously made headlines in February 2026 after reportedly taking a loan through OPay to brand a vehicle in support of Oyebanji’s re-election bid.

He operates around the BAO Timber Market along Ilawe Road in Ado-Ekiti and said his support was driven by his admiration for the governor’s administration.

He had also commended Oyebanji and Tinubu for their policies on education, healthcare and citizens’ welfare, urging residents to support the governor’s second-term ambition.

In the latest video, Adeniyi said he had taken another loan to show his support for the three politicians.
