Gospel singer and pastor Nathaniel Bassey has called on unmarried participants in the Hallelujah Challenge to promise God that they will abstain from sex until marriage.
During a session of the online prayer programme, Bassey urged participants seeking breakthroughs to make personal commitments that reflect their Christian faith.
“If you are a sister here or a brother, you will make a promise to God that you will not sleep with anybody who is not your spouse,” he said.
The pastor also challenged participants to honour God with their bodies and asked if they were ready to make a holy agreement with Him.
“Are you ready to enter into a deal with God, a holy deal? That the next time you have sex, it will be with your godly ordained spouse,” he added.
Beyond his message to unmarried participants, Bassey also spoke to business owners during the session.
He urged them to stop cutting corners in their businesses and correct any wrongs they may have committed in their dealings with others.
The gospel singer encouraged business owners to make a fresh commitment to doing things differently and putting things right going forward.
