A social media post showing an ambulance donated to Amaekpu Item community in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has triggered criticism online.
Some users also accused the lawmaker of focusing on projects they believe do not address the area’s most pressing needs.
One user, @Necheremdaniel, wrote: “And the community will still vote for him in 2027. Na we dey do ourselves in this country. Nobody coursed us”
Another commenter, @ikechukwuobiom5, said: “Na person wey day him wan come be governor for abia state Ndi ara”
Reacting to the donation, @Adathebeloved posted: “See as he boldly put his name. If these people vote him back, they are worst than batidiots”
Another user, @ifytechmedia, simply described the donation as: “What a Mockery 😳”
