Fulham have completed the signings of Real Madrid pair Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios in deals worth a combined £42.5m.
Garcia joined the Premier League club for £34m, signing a five-year contract at Craven Cottage. Fulham also hold the option to extend his stay by another 12 months.
The 22-year-old finished as the top scorer at last summer’s Club World Cup and will now continue his career in England.
Just 30 minutes after confirming Garcia’s arrival, Fulham announced the signing of Palacios.
The 21-year-old completed his move for around £8.5m. He also signed a five-year contract, with the club holding the option to extend it by a further year.
Both Spanish players are the first arrivals under new Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa. The trio reunite after working together at Real Madrid last season.
