Brighton & Hove Albion have completed the signing of Super Eagles winger Femi Azeez from Championship club Millwall on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The transfer was completed after both clubs submitted a deal sheet before Tuesday’s 11 p.m. deadline. This extended the deadline to 1 a.m. on Wednesday, giving them time to finish the move.
Brighton Sporting Director Mike Cave said, “We are delighted to add Femi to the squad. He arrives off the back of an excellent season with Millwall, having played a key role for them as they finished in the playoffs.
“He was one of the most exciting attacking talents in the Championship, and we’re delighted to have finally agreed his transfer, and we now looking forward to working with him.”
Azeez, 25, made 77 appearances for Millwall, scoring 15 goals and assisting 13. He began with Watford’s youth team before joining Northwood, Wealdstone and Hanwell Town. He signed for Reading in 2019 and joined Millwall in 2024.
He was named in the PFA and EFL Championship Teams of the Season for 2025/26.
The winger also scored twice on his Nigeria debut in June against Zimbabwe before assisting in a 3-0 win over Jamaica four days later.
Azeez joins fellow Nigerian Zadok Yohanna, who Brighton signed from AIK Stockholm.
