There was panic in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State on Friday after the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the council, Oyewole Mayowa Solomon, collapsed and died during a party reconciliation meeting.

According to TVC, the incident happened while Solomon was attending a meeting organised by one of his predecessors, Funsho Olumoko, to promote unity among APC stakeholders in the area.
Reports said Solomon suddenly collapsed while the meeting was ongoing, leaving other participants confused.
He was reportedly rushed to a hospital in Kabba for treatment but died shortly after arriving at the facility.
As of the time of filing this report, the circumstances surrounding his sudden death had not been officially disclosed.
