Skit maker and content creator Sydney Egere, better known as Sydney Talker, has opened up about staying celibate for the last four years, saying he made the choice to focus on his personal development and career.
In a video posted on his Instagram page on Wednesday, the comedian said July 27 will mark four years since he last shared a bed with a woman. He described the experience as challenging but worthwhile.
“27th of this month will make it four years of celibacy for me. Technically, what I am trying to say is I have not slept on the same bed with a woman for the past four years,” he said.
Looking back on the journey, Sydney Talker said, “It’s not been easy, but I thank God. It is not by my power nor by my strength but by His grace.”
He explained that stepping away from emotional distractions gave him enough time to study the content creation industry and think about building lasting success.
“In these past four years, I have studied my industry, content creation and I have come to a conclusion that if we do not put some things in place now, we will never get wealthy, so I took out time to study and stayed away from emotional activities and found solutions that will really help us as content creators,” he said.
Sydney Talker said the four-year period allowed him to come up with ideas and practical solutions that could improve not only his own career but also support the wider content creation industry.
