A young Nigerian woman has set X ablaze after blaming Christianity for making her look older.
User @DUkauwa94288 shared two photos of herself. In the first, she was 15 and still a Christian. In the second, she is 18 and an atheist. She wrote: “Omo I suffer that year, Christianity really be aging you. Carrying Holy Ghost on my head, na craze I Dey craze.”
The post quickly racked up over two million views, thousands of likes, and a flood of replies. Many users rejected her claim. Some said she should not pin her looks on Christ because she simply looks the way she does.
One commenter called Voltage shot back that he still carries the Holy Ghost, has seven zeros in his account, and remains a better person.
Hephzi put it bluntly: she was “chopped” in Christ and is still chopped without Him.
Amaka pointed the finger at Nigerian churches, especially the ones built from plywood.
The poster later added that she left the faith three years ago after deconstructing at 15.
