VIDEO: Collecting Transport Fare From a Man Without Going to See Him Can Land You in Prison — Police Warn Ladies

The Rivers State Police Command has warned women against collecting transport money from a man without meeting him, saying such an act could amount to obtaining money under false pretence.

Police spokesperson Grace Iringe Koko explained that collecting the money without showing up to meet the man could be treated as an offence punishable by law.

She questioned why a woman would collect transport fare from a man without going to see him, describing the act as obtaining money under false pretence, commonly known as 419.

“why would you collect transport fare from a man without going to see him, its an offence, a punishable offence, it’s obtaining money under false pretense, 419”
