Social media activist VeryDarkMan has accused Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke of secretly supporting the All Progressives Congress (APC) after reports that he backed President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
In a video posted on his official Instagram handle on Thursday, VDM pointed to Adeleke’s reported appointment as Osun coordinator of the City Boy Movement, a group backing Tinubu, as proof of his claim.
“Davido’s uncle Governor Ademola Adeleke finally came out to throw his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
VDM alleged that Adeleke could manipulate election figures to ensure Tinubu wins, even if Osun residents vote against the president.
“Going back to my old video, remember I said this man is an APC puppet, you see this election that happened in Osun State. If you remember Ademola Adeleke is candidate of Accord Party, then another candidate for APC and ADC, now you see that fight between Ademola Adeleke of Accord party and APC, it’s not what it seemed.
He claimed the contest between Adeleke and the APC was effectively an internal party contest presented to the public as a general election.
VDM also alleged that Adeleke only stayed away from openly supporting the APC because Nigerians would not vote for the party as the election approached.
He further claimed that FCT Minister Nyesom Wike contacted Adeleke before and after the election, asking him to take his Certificate of Return to Tinubu and thank him.
VDM also accused Davido of using his tweets to emotionally pressure Osun residents over the election.
