A 30-year-old man, Haruna Ishaka, has reportedly died after his 24-year-old wife, Maimuna, allegedly cut off his manhood during a domestic violence incident in Taraba State.
The incident happened at about 11:15 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2026, in Maigoje village, Mai Idanu Ward, Gashaka Local Government Area, according to a police report from the Gashaka Division.
Haruna reportedly died in the early hours of Tuesday, October 13, following the incident.
His body was later buried in line with Islamic rites, the police report stated.
Preliminary findings by the police suggested that the incident followed repeated disagreements over Haruna’s reported interest in young girls outside their marriage.
According to the report, Maimuna had previously warned her husband about the matter, but he allegedly refused to listen to her warnings.
The report added that Maimuna was still at large when the police prepared the document.
