President Bola Tinubu has set up the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general election.
Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, will serve as Director-General, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma will be Secretary.
The Presidency announced this in a statement on Saturday morning signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima will serve as Chairman and Vice-Chairman I. APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda will be Vice-Chairman II.
APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Basiru and Hadiza Bala-Usman were named Deputy Secretary and Assistant Secretary.
Tinubu will work with advisers Bisi Akande, Segun Osoba, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Florence Ita-Giwa.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and Yobe Governor Mai Mala Buni were named deputy director-generals for the South and North. They will work with Senator Bamidele Opeyemi and Senator Jibril Barau.
Senator Adams Oshiomhole will handle mobilisation, while Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila will oversee administration.
James Faleke returns as Deputy Director-General for election planning, coordination and monitoring.
The zonal directors are Senator Olushola Adeyeye, Dr Ngozi Olejeme, Senator Uche Ekwunife, Muntaqha Rabe, Ahmed Muhammed Ketso and Senator Sani Danladi.
Stella Okotete, Abdullahi Garba Ramat and Audu Maikori were named secretaries of the election planning directorate.
Muiz Banire, SAN, will head the legal directorate, assisted by Liman Hassan and Babatunde Ogala.
Minister of Information Mohammed Idris will coordinate Media and Strategic Communication, alongside Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga and Lanre Issa-Onilu. Tunde Rahman, Sunday Dare, Daniel Bwala and Felix Morka were named deputies, while Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, Temitope Ajayi, Aderonke Arabirin and Frederick Nwabufo will serve as secretaries.
Segun Dada returns as Director of New Media, with Solomon Arowolo as Secretary.
Alake, Alwan Hassan, Ayobami Oyalowo, Kemi Asekun-Shittu and Adamu Fanda were named spokespersons.
Tinubu urged members to work for victory in the January 2027 elections and asked directorate leaders to involve other party members.
The statement read, “We have delivered on our campaign promises and set our country on a path of economic progress. We are definitely out of the dark tunnel and are now at the cusp of reaping the benefits of a prosperous economy that will benefit all Nigerians.
“As we march into the campaign season, we have many achievements to trumpet, let us confidently showcase our record and inspire hope in every corner of our nation. Let us soundly defeat all those forces who plan to take our country backwards.”
