The sexual offence case involving Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, is still active in the United Kingdom, with his Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing fixed for September 15, 2026.
The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed this to PUNCH Online on Saturday, saying Odinaka is still due at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
The CPS said, “This case is still live, and Odinaka is still set to appear for a PTPH at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 15 September 2026.”
PTPH means Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing. It is a pre-trial hearing where issues around the defendant’s plea and trial are considered.
The CPS did not say if Odinaka had been released or remained on remand, despite reports online claiming he was released from a UK prison.
Reports also claimed the complainant had withdrawn from the case or that it had been settled out of court. These claims had not been confirmed by the UK court as of filing.
Odinaka faces five charges: attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
The court has imposed a reporting restriction to protect the complainant’s identity under Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.
The case followed Odinaka’s UK visit for Davido and Friends at Crystal Palace Bowl in London on August 14.
Odinaka has not been convicted, and the allegations remain for the court to determine.
