Osun residents reportedly booed APC governors, senators and other top political figures as their convoy left the state around 2:30 a.m.
The political heavyweights were said to have faced the reaction after the APC failed to secure the desired result in the governorship election.
Videos circulating online reportedly showed residents chanting “Ole! Ole!” as the convoy moved out of the state in the early hours of Sunday.
The development came after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared incumbent governor and Accord Party candidate Ademola Adeleke the winner of the election.
Adeleke secured 511,067 votes, defeating APC candidate Bola Oyebamiji, who polled 444,815 votes.
