Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has said that no government has the power to give people lasting peace, adding that real peace comes only from God.
Speaking during a church service in Warri, Delta State, Oyedepo told Christians not to depend on governments or other worldly systems for inner peace. He said peace is a gift from God and cannot come from anywhere else.
“No government in this world can give you peace, neither can you find it in the market. It is only God that can give you peace,” the cleric said.
He explained that although governments can provide security and good leadership, true peace of mind and lasting calm can only come through a personal relationship with God.
Oyedepo made the remarks while urging worshippers to strengthen their faith and seek God’s presence in their everyday lives.
