American music executive Sean “Diddy” Combs could leave prison earlier than previously expected, as his projected release date has been moved forward by more than three weeks.
According to federal Bureau of Prisons information cited by TMZ, Combs is now expected to be released on February 6, 2028, instead of March 2, 2028, which was reported last month.
His release date has changed several times, with previous records showing January 21, February 5 and February 20. However, no reason was given for the latest adjustment.
The development comes after Combs was transferred from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to FCI Allenwood in Pennsylvania, where he was reportedly placed in the general prison population.
While at Fort Dix, he was reportedly held in solitary confinement over alleged disciplinary issues, including fighting and using banned mobile phones.
NBC News also reported allegations that he paid fellow inmates to give him massages, prepare meals and handle his chores, arrangements described as preferential treatment. These allegations related to his time at Fort Dix.
However, the latest report did not confirm whether the alleged disciplinary issues affected his release date.
Combs was convicted in 2025 on two Mann Act counts involving the transportation of people across state lines for prostitution. He was cleared of racketeering and sex-trafficking charges.
He received a 50-month federal prison sentence. His February 6, 2028 release date is only a projection and does not guarantee his release on that day.
