Liverpool were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Saturday after twice fighting back from behind in an entertaining Premier League clash.
Forest stunned the home fans in the 24th minute when Dan Ndoye finished an opening created by Morgan Gibbs-White to put the visitors ahead.
The Reds found it difficult to break through Forest’s defence but eventually drew level on the hour. Alexander Isak converted after Cody Gakpo had done well to create the chance.
Forest regained the lead 10 minutes later. Gibbs-White sent the penalty into the net after Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker was judged to have fouled an opponent inside the area.
Liverpool refused to give up and found another equaliser in the 82nd minute. Victor Muñoz produced a spectacular finish to make it 2-2.
The hosts pushed hard for a winning goal in the closing stages, but Forest stood firm to secure a point at Anfield.
The draw means Liverpool are still without a Premier League win after two games under manager Andoni Iraola. They also drew their opening match against Newcastle United.
Forest, meanwhile, showed a strong response after losing to Leeds United in their first match of the season.
