Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Tram has started making waves online after an old video showing his encounter with American streamer Darren Watkins Jr., better known as iShowSpeed, resurfaced shortly after his unveiling on Sunday.
The 24-year-old Lagos-born streamer and content creator was among the first housemates introduced for the new season. He described himself as an “easygoing hustler” whose main goal was to play the game.
Soon after his introduction, social media users brought back a viral clip from iShowSpeed’s “Speed Does Africa” tour in early 2026. The American internet personality had visited Lagos shortly after turning 21.
In the clip, Tram approaches iShowSpeed at a crowded venue, gives him a condom and jokes that he has “fine shyt” or “babe” for him while pointing at a nearby girl.
He also mentions iShowSpeed’s 21st birthday, suggesting the streamer was now old enough to party freely.
The exchange ends with iShowSpeed laughing before handing the condom to a security team member. The moment quickly went viral and sparked controversy.
Many Nigerians at the time criticised Tram, accusing him of trying to “offer” local women to the American streamer.
Tram later rejected that interpretation, saying the exchange was misunderstood and was simply “streamer banter” rather than a real offer.
In a resurfaced video shared by entertainment blogger Oyindamola, Tram explained that he was only joking.
“Nigga, I was only trying to be funny and I said, ‘Bro, I got some partnership for you.’ If you watch streaming content, you guys are talking up. Everybody in Nigeria is such a hypocrite.
“It’s paining me. All of you are acting like Speed is Jesus Christ and we should be presenting him our best. Speed, take my bottle of water. All of you are trying to be respectful to a nigga that barks on social media.
“Did you see when Speed met Ronaldo? He was literally begging Ronaldo to take a picture. Speed comes to Nigeria and all of you are glazing, acting like he’s a god.
“I spoke to him like a regular nigga. He’s 21. I’m older than this nigga. I said, ‘Bro, I got some partnership for you.’ He looked at the girls and smiled.”
Now that Tram is a BBNaija housemate, the old clip has resurfaced across X and other platforms. While some users are revisiting the controversy, others defend him, saying the exchange was taken out of context.
The 11th season premiered on Sunday, with 24 housemates competing for the ₦160m grand prize.
