Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho is closing in on a surprise move to Premier League rivals Aston Villa.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Aston Villa have submitted an official offer to Chelsea for the Argentine winger.
The proposal being discussed is an initial loan deal with a buy clause. Villa boss Unai Emery has approved Garnacho as one of his targets during this summer’s transfer window.
Discussions are also continuing between Aston Villa and the Argentina international as both sides work toward reaching an agreement.
Garnacho completed his move from Manchester United to Chelsea in August 2025.
The 22-year-old has struggled to make a strong impact since arriving at the west London club.
