Four people have been killed after unidentified armed men attacked two communities in Niger State, leaving two others seriously injured.
The attack happened at about 1:30am on Wednesday, September 23, in Godoro and Angwan-Bisala communities under Katako District of Rafi LGA.
The Police Command in Niger confirmed the incident, with its spokesperson, SP Wasiu Abiodun, telling the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that four people died in the attack.
Abiodun said the two injured victims were taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
He added that police officers had visited the affected communities, while an investigation into the attack had commenced.
