Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, popularly known as Mama G, has revealed that her frequent roles as witches, wicked women and antagonists in Nollywood movies are part of a divinely assigned calling.
The actress made this known during a live-streamed interview hosted by content creator Carter Efe.
Ozokwor addressed the public curiosity surrounding her repeated portrayal of such characters in Nollywood films.
”I think God gave me that niche. I hate every ill because I don’t like injustice, war, and rancour. When you give me those roles, I try to bring everything into them.
“If you are taking part in any of them, you have to be careful and know the end thereof, for the end justifies the means. Know what will happen to you if you live a terrible life, and know what you will gain if you are a good person,” she explained.
The actress said her performances were carefully created to show viewers the consequences of bad behaviour.
She described her villainous roles as a way of teaching important lessons through storytelling, using her characters to show the results of living a bad life.
