A man identified as Ahmad Abubakar Zakka, his wife and their young daughter have been kidnapped in Millennium City, Kaduna State, with their captors demanding N300 million for their release.
A video showed the family in captivity as Zakka appealed to the public for help. His wife sat beside him while their daughter rested on his lap.
One of the armed kidnappers was seen pointing an AK-47 rifle at Zakka’s head and threatening to kill him. The man sat on what appeared to be a fallen tree, with one of his hands seemingly restricted. His right hand also appeared swollen.
In the footage, Zakka introduced himself and begged people to help rescue his family.
“My name is Ahmad Abubakar Zakka,” he said.
“I am seeking help from God, and I am asking you to come to our aid. I was taken away on Monday to be made a—”
He later revealed the amount demanded by the kidnappers and made another desperate appeal.
“Please, I am pleading for help. Please help me, help me… They are demanding a ransom of N300 million. Please come to our aid and help us,” he said.
Throughout the video, his wife and daughter remained beside him as the armed man kept the rifle pointed at his head.
The N300 million ransom demand places a huge financial burden on the family, prompting an appeal for public assistance to secure the release of all three victims.
