Sean “Diddy” Combs was taken out of a federal prison in New Jersey, United States, early Saturday morning after suffering a head injury that required medical attention.
Sources at FCI Fort Dix said the music mogul left the prison at around 1am to receive treatment. He was believed to have been taken to a nearby hospital, although this has not been confirmed.
The sources said the injury was not life-threatening. Diddy was reportedly conscious and able to speak when he returned to the prison before sunrise.
However, it remains unclear how he sustained the injury.
The rapper has faced several developments during his time behind bars in recent weeks. He was moved to the prison’s special housing unit after claims emerged that he was enjoying unusual comforts, including massages, alcohol and a cellphone containing nude pictures.
In July, Diddy was also involved in a fight with another inmate.
Meanwhile, his expected release date has been pushed back by several weeks. His release, initially scheduled for January 2028, is now expected in March 2028.
