Tinubu To Commence 2027 Campaign In Kaduna

President Bola Tinubu will begin his 2027 re-election campaign in Kaduna on October 24, according to Senator Abdulaziz Yari, Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council.

Yari disclosed this after meeting Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday evening. He said the campaign’s first meeting would hold on October 14 at the State House Banquet Hall, followed by visits to states across the country.

“From there we will be in Maiduguri. We have the timetable, and we’re going to make it available after the inauguration. But these has all been understood and approved by the team of Mr President and I.”

He said the campaign team would visit Port Harcourt after Kaduna before heading to Maiduguri.

The former Zamfara State governor also dismissed the chances of African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi defeating Tinubu in 2027.

Yari claimed Tinubu controls at least 10 states each in the North and South, arguing that Atiku lacks control of any southern state while Obi has no stronghold in the North.

He cited former President Muhammadu Buhari’s inability to win with strong northern support but little backing in the South.

Yari also credited Tinubu with improving the situation he inherited after taking office, insisting that his administration had done enough to present its record to voters.

“We are not promising. We are doing it, and we are going to continue.”
