Nigerian influencer and entrepreneur Waris Olayinka Akinwande, better known as Ola of Lagos, has disclosed that he still rents a house despite owning several properties.
Ola made this known during a recent episode of the KK Show, where he explained that living in his own property could make him “too relaxed.”
The property influencer revealed that he spends N50 million yearly on rent, adding that he has never spent a night in a house he bought with his own money.
”I have never slept in any house I bought with my own money. If you do, you will become too relaxed. Despite being in a beautiful estate, I still live in rented apartments and pay rent. When I pay 50 million naira a year. I use that pain to keep grinding harder,” he said.
Ola said the high cost of his annual rent serves as motivation for him to continue working hard and growing his business.
