Veteran actor Dele Odule has advised people not to accept private apologies after being publicly disrespected.
Odule shared the advice in an Instagram post, saying anyone who embarrasses another person in public should also take responsibility publicly.
“Never accept a private apology for public disrespect, never ever,” he wrote.
The actor said apologising behind closed doors after publicly disrespecting someone does not truly resolve the issue. According to him, it only makes the person who caused the embarrassment feel better.
He also stressed that respect should be restored in the same place where it was damaged.
