A young man has appealed for help after claiming that his life took a disturbing turn following a visit to Ijebu-Ode to collect a so-called “Yahoo soap.”
The man said he got the soap from a person identified as Baba Lusabi in Ijebu, hoping it would help him make money. However, he claimed that using it during baths had left him struggling with unusual feelings and behaviour.
According to him, he becomes aggressive and restless whenever he bathes with the soap. He also revealed that he sometimes has thoughts of taking his own life.
“Ever since I went to Ijebu to collect soap, I don’t understand my life any longer. Anytime I have my bath with that soap, I become so aggressive and restless. Sometimes, I’ll even feel like taking my own life,” he said.
The young man expressed concern over what he described as the troubling effects of the soap, saying his search for money had instead left him fearing for his life.
He said he no longer understood what the soap was meant to do and lamented that his experience had become a serious source of distress.
“I don’t understand the work of the soap. It’s money I’m looking for, but it’s pushing me to death,” he lamented.
