An old video of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as ‘Ogogo’, has resurfaced following his death on Sunday. In the video, the late actor recalled a serious health battle he faced for several years.
Hassan spoke about suffering severe chest pain, ulcers and vomiting blood, saying the condition at one point made him fear for his life.
The actor, who said he neither smoked nor drank alcohol, recalled experiencing a sharp chest pain while travelling to a movie location. He said the pain spread to his back and left him deeply uncomfortable.
“I don’t smoke cigarettes or weed. Those who know me well know that if I take a bottle of beer, I will finish it down with two bottles of Schweppes. I’ll keep that bottle till daybreak.
“Once, I was going to a location and I felt a sharp chest pain radiating to my back. Within five minutes, I didn’t feel comfortable at all.
“I spent almost six years battling this illness. I had ulcers and would vomit blood for seven months. I prayed while sitting,” he said in the video.
