‘He Bit Me’ — Portable Reveals Why He Walked Away During Okocha Fight

Portable has explained why he walked out during his celebrity boxing rematch against Nollywood actor Charles Okocha, saying he was treated unfairly in the ring.

The street-pop singer, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, claimed Okocha abandoned boxing and turned the contest into a wrestling fight.

In a video shared on his Instagram page on Saturday, hours after he was disqualified following the bout at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Portable showed wounds on his back and body. He alleged he was bitten during the fight and claimed several people attacked him.

While pointing at the marks, Portable said, “They said he eats Molly. He didn’t see Molly anymore. So he ate my back.”

He also alleged Okocha bit him, saying, “Man, he bit me. I landed a heavy hit on him.”

Portable insisted he controlled the fight before the incident. “Normally, I beat him up. Man to man, one man is tougher than another. I dealt him a huge blow,” he said.

Explaining why he left the ring, he said, “He bit me, number one. He choked my neck. Camera it. That’s why I say I don’t fight again. I’m big! I’m bigger than the money! I’m a star!”

He added that he kept his promise to land 10 blows and told fans, “I wore one-round cloth to the bout. I wanted to beat him in one round.”

Portable was disqualified on Friday after leaving the ring before the opening round ended. The “Unfinished Business” rematch followed their disputed first meeting. Although he later returned, officials awarded victory to Okocha. Before the fight, Portable had said, “I am not happy, but I want God to make me happy and my family.” The defeat reversed his earlier victory over Okocha.
