The Federal Government has named five digital banking and mobile money platforms through which selected Nigerians will receive its N50,000 cash support under the National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI).
Information on the programme’s website shows that beneficiaries can receive the money through ALAT by Wema Bank, MoMo PSB, NairaGram, OPay and Moniepoint.
Each platform offers a USSD code or mobile application to help recipients access their wallets, withdraw the money or make payments.
The approved platforms and their access codes are:
- ALAT (Wema Bank): Dial 94523#.
- MoMo (MoMo PSB): Dial 6710#.
- NairaGram: Dial 72600#.
- OPay: Dial 95520# or use its app.
- Moniepoint: Dial 557327# or use its app.
How to receive the N50,000
The support targets poor and vulnerable households selected through verified national identity records and the National Social Register.
Those selected will receive an SMS from an approved payment provider and must reply YES to accept the offer. A mobile wallet linked to their phone number and National Identification Number (NIN) will then be created and credited with N50,000.
Recipients can withdraw the money through POS agents or banks, or spend it directly from their wallets.
FG warns against fraud
The government said the programme is free. Beneficiaries do not need to pay, register separately or visit government offices.
It warned Nigerians against fraudsters demanding money and advised recipients never to share their PINs, OTPs or passwords.
Only messages from the five approved platforms are genuine. Not all eligible households will be covered in the first batch, and nobody can pay to secure a place.
The Humanitarian Assistance Programme is managed by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to support vulnerable households facing rising living costs.
