David Oyedepo, founder and presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, has told his congregation that he once suffered from tuberculosis and that God healed him.
Oyedepo shared the personal experience while stressing the importance of faith and persistence. He attributed his recovery entirely to God and described the experience as a key moment that strengthened his belief in healing.
The cleric also urged church members to take action rather than simply wait for things to happen.
“Don’t sit down waiting for things to happen; the violent taketh it by force,” he said, quoting scripture to drive home his message.
Oyedepo leads Winners’ Chapel, one of Africa’s largest congregations, from the Faith Tabernacle in Ota.
