Kola Ologbondiyan, Director of Media and Publicity of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has said Nigerians know that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is expected to become president in 2027.
Ologbondiyan also spoke about discussions on developing ports in southern Nigeria and reducing the pressure on Lagos ports. He claimed the issue only gained attention after a presidential candidate raised it.
“Mind you, until the candidate came out and said, ‘Oh, the ports in the south will open up and develop the ports, so everybody won’t need to come and converge on Lagos alone.’ Oh, that’s when they remembered,” he said.
According to Ologbondiyan, the candidate’s remarks brought the port development issue into political discussions.
He maintained that Nigerians already understand the political situation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
“Nigerians are aware 2027 is Atiku Abubakar’s turn,” he insisted.
