Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has dismissed her colleague Eniola Badmus’ public apology, describing it as a “Fake apology”.
Badmus had earlier apologised to Laide, saying that despite their differences, she had chosen peace and genuinely wished her colleague well. However, Laide was not impressed by the gesture and made her feelings known in a social media post.
Their latest exchange comes after Badmus faced criticism over her reaction to Laide’s name during a recent interview with Isbae U.
Laide later accused Eniola of repeatedly damaging her reputation in public. She called her an ingrate and claimed she had played a major role in her growth.
In another post, Laide said she did not need surgery and was too big to be brought down by Eniola, adding that her colleague’s 10 could not match hers.
During another interview, Laide also claimed she supported Eniola financially when nobody wanted to cast her in movies because of her size.
Last year, Laide recalled investing in Badmus for 20 years because of her love for the company, but said she was repaid badly after being embarrassed at an event.
Their public feud dates back to 2023, when Eniola criticised Laide’s outfit at her book launch, comparing it to Pastor Adejara’s outfit. Laide had also accused Eniola of shaming her over not having a child and family and supporting President Tinubu during the election.
The pair were later captured in a heated argument at the premiere of Eniola Ajao’s Owambe Thieves, which nearly turned into a fight.
