American actor Tobey Maguire has taken an unexpected role in his ex-wife Jennifer Meyer’s new marriage, officiating her wedding to billionaire heir Geoff Ogunlesi.
The Spider-Man star reportedly led the ceremony at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort Lanai in Hawaii, where Meyer exchanged vows with Ogunlesi.
Photos from the event showed Maguire smiling as he read from a piece of paper while the newlyweds kissed amid flowers.
The wedding attracted several famous guests, including Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, actress Courteney Cox and fashion stylist Rachel Zoe.
Maguire and Meyer’s children, Ruby, 19, and Otis, 17, also joined the celebration. Ruby even shared a photo of herself posing with a young man during the festivities.
The former couple married in 2007 but separated in 2016. Meyer filed for divorce in October 2020, officially ending their marriage after years apart.
Despite their split, the pair appear to have remained on good terms. Reports indicate that they finalised their divorce last month.
Maguire’s decision to officiate his former wife’s wedding has drawn attention, as he played a key role in a major moment in her new relationship.
