The Anambra State Government has asked voters, especially supporters of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, to reject Peter Obi in the 2027 general election.
The call was made in a Monday post on the government’s official X account, run by Governor Charles Soludo’s New Media office.
The state government accused Obi, a former Anambra governor, of working against APGA since leaving office. It also claimed that President Bola Tinubu had supported the party.
In a graphic aimed at Obi, the government called him a “betrayal” to APGA and told party members to stand up for the party ahead of the 2027 election.
“A betrayal alert for Ndi APGA. Since 2014, Obi has had one mission: to destroy the party that made him,” the government wrote.
“In 2015, while President Tinubu stood with APGA, Obi backed the opposition to bury us,” it said.
“Do not be deceived by a man who abandoned his own house. Anambra is APGA. Ndi APGA, defend your home, resist the NDC.”
Obi governed Anambra from 2006 to 2013. He is now seeking the presidency in 2027 on the platform of the NDC.
