A Bangkok cosmetic clinic has told Thai authorities that Nigerian content creator Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo insisted on having a penis enlargement procedure done in one session, despite a doctor advising him to split the treatment into two sessions.
Ubiribo, a Nigerian influencer living in London, died on March 6, less than 24 hours after receiving hyaluronic acid injections at the Bangkok clinic, records from an inquest at Westminster Coroner’s Court showed.
At a hearing on August 21, post-mortem and toxicology findings reportedly linked his death to the injection and a pulmonary embolism. He suffered chest pains and collapsed on March 5, hours after the procedure.
He was taken to hospital for a CT scan but lost consciousness before it could be done. Medical staff reportedly performed CPR for 101 minutes before he was pronounced dead at 1:05am on March 6.
Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health opened an investigation on September 7. Officials said Ubiribo had received five penile enlargement injections at the clinic since 2024.
The clinic said he signed consent forms and received aftercare advice each time. Authorities will review the records and evidence before deciding whether to refer the case to the Medical Council.
“We will gather all facts and evidence to proceed according to our authority and submit the case to the Medical Council for a ruling on professional practice standards, in order to ensure fairness to all parties,” the ministry said.
