VIDEO: Moment Wike’s Aide Calls Arise TV’s Rufai Oseni ‘Non-Human’ Over ‘Gbewudani’ Comment in Heated Argument

Lere Olayinka, spokesperson for FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, refused to take questions from Arise TV anchor Rufai Oseni during a live programme on Friday.

Olayinka appeared on The Morning Show but said he would not engage Oseni directly, insisting he preferred speaking with people he considered reasonable.

The disagreement followed Olayinka’s objection to Oseni’s alleged use of the word “Gbewudani” while referring to the 2027 PDP presidential Candidate.

Oseni had asked why former Humanitarian Affairs Minister Betta Edu, who has faced corruption allegations, was included in the presidential campaign council.

Instead of answering, Olayinka turned to Oseni and said, “Well, I’m very sorry to say this, Oseni Rufai, I don’t want to answer any question from you. I want to concentrate,”

He added, “I want this conversation to be among reasonable human beings, people who will not come and tell, who will not come and describe other people as ‘Gbewudani’.”

The clash is the latest in a series of public disagreements between the pair. They have previously argued over journalism and Oseni’s professional background.

Olayinka once questioned Oseni’s qualification as a journalist because he studied Animal Anatomy, while Oseni defended his journalism experience and training.

In 2025, Olayinka also accused Oseni of failing to maintain proper standards when interviewing public officials.
