Former Adamawa State Governor Mohammed Bindow has returned to the All Progressives Congress, APC, and re-registered as a member of the party in his ward in Mubi.
APC chieftain Ayekooto Akindele disclosed this, saying Bindow’s return was witnessed by Mubi APC Chairman Alhaji Ahmadu Guruja, alongside thousands of supporters, political associates, friends, family members and well-wishers.
Speaking after his registration, Bindow said he made the decision after extensive consultations with his political associates and confidants.
He said his return was in line with his long-standing commitment to party discipline and his opposition to anti-party activities.
Bindow added that he consulted his brother and close political confidant, Vice President Kashim Shettima, before making the decision.
He also recalled his recent meeting with President Bola Tinubu, describing it as cordial and memorable. According to him, the President expressed happiness over his return to the APC family.
The former governor endorsed all APC candidates and pledged his full support for the party’s success at the polls.
He stressed that his return was not motivated by personal ambition or division. Rather, he said he wants to strengthen the APC, unite its stakeholders and help the party achieve electoral success.
Bindow resigned from the African Democratic Congress, ADC, on August 1, 2026.
