Yoruba Nollywood actors have reacted with concern to reports that their colleague, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as ‘Ogogo’, is battling cancer.
His daughter, Kira, revealed in an emotional video on Monday night that the actor has stage 4 cancer and was denied chemotherapy by the hospital. She appealed to the public for recommendations of anyone who can treat him medically or traditionally, stressing that she was not seeking financial donations.
His colleagues reacted to the news.

In an interview with Oyinmomo TV, Taiwo previously spoke about a seven-year battle with a strange illness. He said he could not eat anything apart from pap and recalled travelling from place to place while trying different treatments.
A few weeks ago, actress Omotunde Apinke Ogundimu appealed to Nigerians for support as she battled cervical cancer. Speaking with Biola Bayo, she broke down in tears and said the pain was severe.
Destiny Etiko also sought help for actress Cynthia Nkachukwu Anijekwu, who is battling cancer.
Meanwhile, Ngozi Nwosu said she needed three surgeries costing N30 million for an unknown ailment. She said she urgently needed the life-saving procedures.
Eucharia Anunobi raised over a hundred thousand for Ngozi at a church in Asaba and transferred the money to her account. The Abia State Government also donated N25 million.
Her management later said Ngozi was doing well and preparing for her first surgery, scheduled for next week, but added that she still needs public support.
