Officials of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps have handed over 42-year-old farmer Ganiu Agbajo to the police for allegedly defiling a 12-year-old girl on his farm in Ipokia Local Government Area.
The state Commander, Soji Ganzallo, disclosed this in a Thursday statement issued through the Director of Information and Public Relations, Adegunwa Adegbuyi.
According to Ganzallo, concerned community members reported the incident to the agency on September 7, 2026, after the girl reportedly returned home crying and told her mother she had been raped.
He said, “On September 7, 2026, the Director of Anti-Arms Smuggling of the agency received this information from the concerned members of the community.”
Agbajo was later arrested at Hassan Compound, Igbokulu, Ita-Egbe, Ipokia. Ganzallo said the suspect admitted to the crime during preliminary interrogation and confessed that the act occurred on his farm at Ojugo, Ita-Egbe.
He added, “The suspect and victim have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Idiroko Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and appropriate legal action.”
Ganzallo urged residents to report unlawful and suspicious activities to the agency.
