Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency, Abdulqowiyu “Cook” Olododo, have distributed pillows to traders and market women at Ipata Market in Ilorin, Kwara State, as part of a grassroots mobilisation campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The pillows were distributed by members of the A.C.O Forum, a support group backing Olododo’s bid for the House of Representatives.
The Tuesday outreach was part of the group’s door-to-door and market-to-market campaign to seek support for the APC candidate.
Members of the forum moved around the market, speaking with traders, market women, residents and other community members while handing out the pillows.
The group described the exercise as a goodwill gesture and an act of community support. However, the initiative was also aimed at promoting Olododo’s candidacy and mobilising votes ahead of the 2027 elections.
Members also listened to residents’ concerns and discussed political participation and the need to take part in the electoral process.
In a statement signed by A.C.O Youth Forum Chairman, Comrade Afeez Kolawole, and Secretary, Comrade Akeem Ibrahim, the group said the outreach was part of its wider grassroots engagement plan.
“The ongoing door-to-door and market outreach is aimed at building meaningful relationships, understanding the needs of the people, promoting peaceful political participation, and encouraging residents to remain informed and involved in matters affecting their communities,” the forum stated.
The group reaffirmed its support for Olododo, saying it wants to take political engagement beyond rallies and large gatherings by reaching people directly in markets, homes and communities.
The forum said the mobilisation would continue across other communities and wards in the coming days.
It described its approach as: “A.C.O Forum — Taking the Message to the People, One Household and Community at a Time.”
Olododo is seeking to represent Ilorin East/South Federal Constituency on the APC platform in the 2027 general elections.
