Desmond Elliot, the lawmaker representing Surulere Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, has reportedly returned to Nollywood after losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.
The development followed the appearance of photos on social media showing him on a movie set with fellow actor Ibrahim Chatta.
The pictures captured the former Nollywood star and Chatta standing together on what appeared to be a film set as they talked during a production.
Many social media users said they were excited about Elliot’s return to acting after spending years in active politics as a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Desmond Elliot, who moved from Nollywood into politics, recently failed in his attempt to secure the APC ticket for Surulere Constituency I ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The three-term lawmaker was defeated in the party’s primary by Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, who won the contest with an overwhelming majority of the votes.
