The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has declared former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, PRTT, Abdulrasheed Abdullahi Maina wanted.
The commission announced this in a post on its verified X handle on Wednesday. The statement was signed by its Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale.
Maina has been linked to a multi-billion-naira pension fraud scandal and spent subsequent years as a fugitive. He has also faced recent high-profile legal battles.
He was later released from the Kuje Correctional Centre after serving a jail term following his conviction over pension-related fraud.
In November 2021, a Federal High Court in Abuja found Maina guilty of money laundering offences involving more than N2 billion.
The EFCC had arraigned him in October 2019 over the case. Maina, however, pleaded not guilty to the 12-count charge.
