Doris Ogala, the African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate for Abia State in the 2027 election, has reportedly been remanded at Ikoyi Prison in Lagos while awaiting a date for her bail hearing.
Comedian DeeOne shared the update in a video posted on his X account on Wednesday. He said Ogala would remain in custody until a date is fixed for the hearing.
Her reported remand is linked to the ongoing legal dispute involving Pastor Chris Okafor.
“Doris Ogala has just been remanded in Ikoyi Prison till she can get a date for her bail hearing,” DeeOne said.
Before the reported development, Ogala had raised concerns over alleged plans to keep her behind bars. She warned that the move could threaten her freedom and affect her political ambition ahead of the 2027 Abia State governorship election.
