A Nigerian man identified as Ejabor has opened up about the unusual punishment his parents gave him after he got a girl pregnant in 2020.
Ejabor, who uses the X handle @callmejabor, revealed that he was the young man in a viral photo from 2020 showing him holding a board with the words “I GOT A GIRL PREGNANT AND THIS IS MY PUNISHMENT.”
He explained that his parents made him stand at SPAR in Port Harcourt with the board as punishment for getting the girl pregnant.
Sharing the story on X, he wrote: “I got a girl pregnant in 2020 and my parents made me take a Board to SPAR with the inscription ‘I GOT A GIRL PREGNANT AND THIS IS MY PUNISHMENT’ on the Board,”
He also told social media users that they could find the picture on Google, as it went viral when it first emerged.
His revelation brought back memories of the incident, with many Nigerians reacting to the resurfaced story.
However, after the story gained attention, Ejabor defended his parents and appealed to the public to respect his privacy.
“For the records, my Parents are the best and for the well being of the child and the girl, please I would urge you to respect my privacy,” he said.
