Nigerian comedian-turned-cleric Woli Arole has criticised people using the death of gospel singer Toluwanisings to gain attention and engagement on social media.
In a video shared on his social media page, Arole described such people as mád and condemned their actions.
He also spoke about the singer’s talent, saying his death had deeply affected many people, especially his friends and colleagues.
Addressing Toluwanisings’ family and those handling his burial, Arole said God had instructed him to urge them to give the late singer a befitting burial without further delay. He also called for an end to the public controversy surrounding the burial.
Arole urged Nigerians to respect the dead and protect the singer’s legacy, adding that his music would continue to live on. He also prayed for his family.
